Housing
If you need help to look at your housing options or rights you can speak to a worker at Castlegate. You will also find information in the Housing/Homeless? section (see council and housing association property and private rented accommodation).
If you become homeless or are being threatened with homelessness because for example you are being asked to leave you should go to the Customer Advice Centre. They may have to find you temporary accommodation. See kicked out or about to be?
If you are already in Council or Housing Association property you’ll need to provide proof of pregnancy – usually the MATB1 certificate given by your midwife at 20 weeks. However if you are overcrowded its still likely to take a long time to get rehoused as there are a lot of people on the waiting list.
Foundation Housing have a Teenage Parent Support Scheme – see support where you live.
