The Survival Guide is produced by Castlegate and published by York Action on Young Homeless.
It is funded with support from the York Teenage Pregnancy Unit, the City of York Council's Youth Service and donations from many of the organisations that distribute the Guide.
This fifteenth edition was updated by Emma James, with help from Meghan Boylan, and all the team at Castlegate.

Castlegate is a new service, developed from both Youth Enquiry Service (no longer in existence, formerly at 1 Bootham) and York Connexions Centre. We still offer young people the same services, but more so. See Castlegate.
York Action on Young Homeless is a group that meets to discuss and try to improve services for homeless young people in York. It is made up of professionals working with young people in a variety of different agencies, including the City of York Council, York Housing Association, Castlegate, York Council for Voluntary Services, Connexions York & North Yorkshire, York Nightstop, Carecent and Shelter.
